Neko Dachi: Cat stance – 30% of weight on lead foot. When standing in the center of the compass the lead foot on the north line and the rear heal is on the south line.
Sanchin: Strong stance – archers stance, weight evenly distributed, rear leg straight. When standing in the center of the compass the lead foot is on the northwest line and the rear foot is on the southeast line.

New blog, I see--it came up on one of my "google alerts" for Ryukyu Kempo. It'll be interesting to see how it develops.
I see you are studying Isshin-Ryu, and have a jujutsu background. That being the case, you might find Javier Martinez'Okinawan Karate: the Secret Art of Tuite interesting. Mr. Martinez has been studying Isshin-Ryu for a long time and has some interesting insights as to the close-quarter grappling techniques contained within its kata. You can find a review under the "book reviews" section of my blog if you're interested, and I believe the book is still available through Amazon.
